A day after leading a peace march against the enactment of controversial Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) in Jaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday participated in ‘Satyagrah’ organized at Rajghat in New Delhi.

Gehlot once again reiterated that CAA and NRC won’t be implemented in Rajasthan and read the preamble of the constitution.

On Sunday he had lead the peace march in Jaipur on such a time when there are reports of violence in various parts of the state regarding the CAA but it can be owed to the dynamic leadership of Gehlot that the march which started from Albert hall and ended at Gandhi circle was completely peaceful.

On Monday Gehlot sat on Satyagrah along with Congress leadership which included Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi along with all its senior leaders.

He later tweeted that Congress party is committed to upholding the principles enshrined in the Constitution and fighting for the continuation, maintenance and safeguarding of the rights of all.

Earlier , after reaching Delhi, Gehlot interacted with the media at AICC office and talked about his opinion on CAA. Importantly, he is one of the very few politicians across the country who are free with media in their interactions and often meet them and do not avoid them.

In Jaipur, Gehlot has been regularly meeting the media and in last few days conducted two media interactions in very close interval of time.

Since the time the bill related to citizenship amendment was introduced in the parliament, Gehlot has been against this and has been cautioning the people about the objective and outcome of this move.
