The Congress legislative party (CLP) while expressing its unanimous support for Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and faith in Congress President Sonia Gandhi and leader Rahul Gandhi has taken a strong stand against those indulging in activities against Congress government in the state.
After the meeting of the CLP on Monday held at the Chief Minister’s residence, a resolution was released. It has been written that this ripping off of democracy by BJP is an insult to 8 Cr people of Rajasthan, they’ll not accept it. CLP meet expresses its confidence in Congress President Sonia Gandhi & leader Rahul Gandhi, & unanimously supports the govt led by Ashok Gehlot. This meet urges that strict disciplinary action be taken against any office-bearer or member of the Legislative Party who indulges in activities against the Congress govt, party or gets involved in any conspiracy.
So the things are getting crystal clear that while the Congress party is fully backing Chief Minister Gehlot and he continues to enjoy the support of MLAs , those whom the party believes are involved in anti-party activities will soon face the music.
Meanwhile it was an eventful Monday, just before the CLP meeting on Monday, there were raids by the IT on the residences and properties of two congress leaders, with the Congress calling it a “witch-hunt”. While such kind of politics was seen and heard in other states, Rajasthan never witnessed such things and probably this happened here for the first time.
