Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot is one of the trusted commanders and among the most dependable leaders of the party. This once again got proved with the arrival of the candidates of alliance of parties of Assam headed by Congress in Jaipur.
Wary of the possible attempts of the BJP , the Congress-AIUDF alliance in Assam shifted some of its candidates to Jaipur as a “precautionary measure” to thwart possible attempts of horse-trading.
Previously too Jaipur has remained in news for the same reason and Gehlot has always acted as a protective shield of the party. Actually the entire political system of the country is currently witnessing the maneuvers of the BJP in getting power either by hook or by crook. When the party is rejected by the electorate BJP plans to hook on to the power from the back door. However whenever Ashok Gehlot is there in the scene, BJP has always bitten the dust. Last year’s political drama in Rajasthan is still fresh in the minds of people when Gehlot had beaten BJP in their own game which had left the BJP embarrassed and defeated.
Once again the onus is on Gehlot who, like a wall is a trusted strategist of the congress party and till the time the candidates of the alliance stay in Rajasthan BJP won’t be able to do anything, claim political observers. They opine that no one else in the Congress party has the ability to protect the party from BJP like Gehlot who is known for his staunch belief in policies and ideals of the congress party.
The way Rahul Dravid was known as the wall who always stood tall against adversity faced in the match, Gehlot too is a strong wall of the party protecting the party from the political games of the BJP.
