Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that state government took COVID 19 pandemic seriously since the beginning and in a planned way made attempts to contain the spread of the virus. The union government has also appreciated the steps taken by the state government.
Gehlot was speaking on the occasion of online inauguration of a new COVID 19 molecular laboratory which has been set up in JNU hospital.
He mentioned that the districts where Corona testing facility is not available, labs will be soon set up there and this will add to the testing capacity. As of now 16,250 tests are being conducted on a daily basis. He said that this achievement has been earned in very less time and for this and medical and health department should be praised for this.
Gehlot mentioned that now after the lab has been set up in JNU hospital after Mahatma Gandhi hospital, the results of Corona test will be received early and will increase the testing capacity. He also said that the state government is strengthening the infrastructure in medical and health sector and the availability of ICU beds and ventilators is also being increased.
Gehlot praised the efforts of efforts of private hospitals and medical colleges in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, he congratulated JNU hospital for setting up the new COVID 19 lab and expressed hope that this will help in increasing the corona tests.
Chairperson of Jaipur National University Dr Sandeep Bakshi said that he got all support from the state government in setting up the lab and said that 384 sample tests can be done at a time from this Covid-19 molecular lab.
