While the temple run of the BJP has run out of steam, meanwhile CM Ashok Gehlot’s run to make a strong and healthy Rajasthan has gained speed with more announcement made by him recently.

Gehlot has announced  Mukhyamantri  Chiranjeevi Yojna” from May 1 in the state under which every family in the state will get medical insurance benefit of up to Rs 5 lakh. The day is also commemorated as labour day across the world and this scheme of insurance meant for each and every person of the state will provide cashless treatment to the people of the state. while making several announcements including promotion of a CHC into a satellite hospital in Vallabh Nagar Udaipur, ITI centres in Rajsamand etc  Gehlot also demolished the claims made by Kataria who had earlier tried to portray that govt’s performance was not that much upto the mark. Gehlot produced the facts before the house while speaking in the assembly and Kataria listened in silence. Political analysts who have covered BJP for last many years suggest that leaders like Kataria who have the gift of the gab many times twist facts and figures and present them in a different manner. But Gehlot who is the third time CM and has handled finance portfolio during his last tenure also is also a financial wizard who showed mirror to Kataria.

While Gehlot made these announcements in the public interest of the state and he was greeted by not only congressmen but also the BJP leaders after the session was adjourned for the day,  BJP has once again gone into a sleep mode. The party has failed to play the role of an active opposition. The famous temples journeys of the warring leaders Vasundhara Raje and Satish Poonia seems to have ended suggesting that either the deities have accepted their prayers or they have lost hopes.   Now there is no talk of temple or political journeys and perhaps this eerie lull in the BJP is just an insinuation of beginning of another round of war between the party leaders battling with intense groupism.
