Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has directed the officials to formulate an action plan to use the labour force that has returned to Rajasthan from other states. He told the officials that providing employment opportunity in Rajasthan to those labourers who came from outside and don’t want to return should be priority of the state government. He mentioned that they must get the message that the state government is worried for them along with the local workers.
Gehlot was reviewing a high-level meeting on Thursday and said that these workers have already suffered due to the lockdown going on for more than 2 months. Therefore, it is our responsibility that they are linked with employment as the earliest.
During the meeting, Gehlot said that there has been negative effect of Corona on the social life, especially the senior citizens are experiencing feeling of loneliness as they are not able to participate in social and religious activities and not coming out of homes due to health protocol. He directed the officials to start a special drive to make them aware about living life with new health protocol along with use of mask, social distancing.
Gehlot expressed satisfaction that the number of active cases of Corona infection in Rajasthan since last 5 days has been almost constant. Till Thursday, there were 7947 people infected with Corona infection in the state out of which 4566 people have recovered. At present the number of active cases is 3202 and the rate of doubling of infection is more than 18 days.
