The constant focus of the Chief Minister and diligence of frontline health workers has ensured that half of the targeted population of the state has got the first dose of Covid vaccine. Till Tuesday evening out of 5 crore 14 lakh 95 thousand & 402 people, 2 crore 57 lakh 65 thousand 700 people had taken their first jab. The number swelled to 2 crore 59 lakh 90 thousand and 407 people who were administered first dose of Covid vaccine. Since the very start of the Covid vaccine drive in the state, Gehlot constantly motivated and encouraged people to take the jab. He spoke against the vaccine hesitancy and created awareness so that more and more people can take the vaccination and get protected from the virus.
However, the bottlenecks in constant supply of the vaccine to the state is one the major challenges which the state regularly faces. But CM Gehlot is unfazed by these issues and has been regularly asking the health ministry to ensure adequate supply of vaccines in the state. He has been continuously making the people aware about the impending threat of the third wave of Covid and has always stressed on people getting vaccinated. With Rajasthan being the largest state and spread into hamlets, dhanis and distances between two habitations kms away, Rajasthan administering one dose to half of the population is indeed commendable. With constant efforts Rajasthan is already a leading state in vaccination across the country.
