In Rajasthan, the political stage is getting ready for a fight between politics of performance / progressive ideology Vs BJP’s politics of Polarization.
BJP which has been pushed to the brink, in the last three and half years, having lost all major elections and a lackluster performance is now desperate to make a comeback in the political scenario by batting on its favorite pitch of polarization. On every trivial matter, its social media legions try to portray the issues in such a way that it gives rise to feelings of polarization. Contrary to this is the politics of Gehlot , Rajasthan’s three time Chief Minister. While this article is being written, a team of experts and the medical fraternity is making final preparations for the foundation laying ceremony of 116 meters IPD tower in Jaipur tomorrow which will be an edifice of a robust health infrastructure not only in the state but across the country. The foundation stone will be laid by CM himself whose name has become synonymous with the progress being made in the state in the health sector. While Gehlot can proudly count success of schemes like CM free medicine scheme, free diagnostics scheme, Chiranjeevi health insurance scheme and now free treatment in all government hospitals, or opening of more than hundred colleges in last 3 years, starting of Mahatma Gandhi English Medium schools , what can BJP count on ? Clearly, BJP lacks an agenda for the welfare of people and that is the reason it is getting frustrated.
