INC burning midnight oil to win Bhilwara

Congress has intensified its attempts to buck the trend and is burning candles from both ends to make sure success of its mission 156.  Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot chose Bhilwara district to launch his Kamdhenu Insurance Scheme in presence of party President Mallikarjn Kharge indicates the importance of Mewar region for the Congress.

Speaking on this occasion Kharge said the alliance of like-minded opposition parties named INDIA has worried the BJP and it is trying to mislead people by raising the “India-Bharat” issue.

He said the Congress has already spread the message of “Bharat Jodo” through its Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

“They are getting nervous over INDIA (alliance),” he said addressing a public rally in Bhilwara in poll-bound Rajasthan.

“We are already saying ‘Bharat Jodo’ but you are trying to bring something new. We spread the message of Bharat Jodo through Bharat Jodo Yatra. Whenever we talk about something, they either try to defame it or mislead people,” he said.

His visit comes at a time when the BJP is carrying out Parivartan yatras in the state which were flagged off by party biggies who had come from Delhi.  This time former CM Raje is not at the helm in these yatras .

Meanwhile the Congress party is trying hard to win all the seats in Bhilwara. Mewar has become an important region politically because BJP’s state President C P Joshi is an MP from nearby Chittorgarh which falls in Mewar region.
