After his Lok Sabha membership was restored , former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be making his first public address in Rajasthan. Preparations are in full flow & final touches are being given in Mangarh Dham, Banswara where Gandhi will be arriving on Wednesday. It is not a coincidence that Gandhi will be visiting this tribal dominated area on World Tribal Day. Congress is not only preparing itself for the Rajasthan assembly elections in the later part of the year but also for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 by launching its campaign from there. This place is a revered place amongst the tribal community of Rajasthan Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and therefore it is a politically significant area. Congress party considers tribals as its core vote bank and therefore it is a good place for political messaging which will benefit the party in state as well as general elections. The Supreme court staying the conviction is a new development and the program was planned much before that but it is a political coincidence that this place becomes the first place where Rahul Gandhi will speak to a large gathering after the SC order.
The place is politically important for the BJP too and PM Modi had also visited this place in November last year.
