CM Ashok Gehlot’s plain speak during the meeting of the political affairs committee of the congress party held in Jaipur on Friday is the most talked about topic in the political corridors. As it has been learnt that CM Gehlot in a blunt manner showed the mirror to some of his party colleagues and asked everyone to pull up their socks for the ensuing assembly elections.
Gehlot has given mission 156 to the party leaders and is working towards this objective. Many political observers feel that he has single handedly pushed the BJP to the brink of political irrelevance in the state and had also foiled the attempts to destabilize his government in past.
It is learnt that Gehlot candid but frank talks with leaders like Raghu Sharma, former MP Raghuveer Meena, RS MP Neeraj Dangi has given the message that Gehlot is very actively monitoring the poll preparations and needs the active participation of each and every leader.
As of now Congress appears ahead of the BJP in the run up to the elections and if the Congress has to remain ahead that each one will have to put their hands on the deck. Gehlot is known for his cool temperament and has always kept a steady hand on the tiller.
It was the first meeting of the political affairs committee after it was recently constituted. Notably during a comprehensive strategy was prepared to counter the attacks of the BJP against the Congress government and to publicize the public welfare works done by Gehlot government .
